Then performed a shift-Delete on each one of them.Īfter completing this process and resetting Folder Permissions, I restarted my Laptop and was able to download Lenovo Vantage successfully from the Microsoft Store.along with the other Lenovo APPs that I had previously installed and used. To find all of the Folders/Files, I performed a Search for "Lenovo" withing the WinApps Folder. I uninstalled all of the Lenovo APPs from my Laptop so that I would know without a doubt that I could delete the folders (with "Lenovo" in the title) within the WinApps Folder without concerns that I would bugger up something inadvertantly. Therefore, the Microsoft Store would hang on update or install and throw the Error Code 0x80073CFB. When I uninstalled the Lenovo Vantage APP (thinking that would fix all my problems with a re-install), the uninstall process also did not remove the components leftover from the Lenovo Companion APP. When I updated to "Lenovo Vantage" the APP did not completely uninstall/replace the older Lenovo Companion APP. The problem as I see it was that an older version of the Application titled "Lenovo Companion" was the culprit. I found that for some of the files (within the folders) I needed to change permissions again so that I could completely delete everything that had "Lenovo" in the Folder name. What I did first was to uninstall all of the Lenovo APPs on my laptop. However, I have found the solution and am now back up and running.
